May 10, 2008

The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics honored several Caltech student-athletes today as they gathered for the 2007-08 All-Sport Awards Event held at Dabney Hall and Gardens on-campus.  The presenters included junior class student-athlete emcees: Zack Higbee (track & field) and Kevin Noertker (baseball) along with Wendell Jack, AD; John D'Auria, Baseball Coach; Sandra Marbut, Women's Basketball Coach; Professor John Hall, Dean of Students; Professor Anneila Sargent, Vice President for Student Affairs and Caltech President, Jean-Lou Chameau.

Annually, Caltech's head coaches, head athletic trainer and senior athletic administrators nominate and vote for the recipients of these departmental awards.  This year's program again included a wonderful video montage of the various nominees in action and was produced by Mandy Gamble, Head Men's & Women's Tennis Coach.
