Caltech Athletics : Beavers Look to Repeat as Winners of SCIAC "NIKE Reuse-A-Shoe" Contest

The Caltech Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) will look to maintain their crown as the SCIAC Champs in the 2009 Nike REUSE A SHOE Drive. For next several weeks the Beavers will collect worn-out athletic shoes in receptacles located at Brown Gym, Braun Gym and the Keith Spalding Building on-campus. The shoes will turned over to the NIKE Corporation in their "Reuse-a-shoe" program. Old and worn-out athletic shoes are ground up and used to construct new tracks and playgrounds.

The deadline to donate your old sneakers is May 15th! (pdf flyer)

A special note of THANKS! to all those Caltech Community members that donated in the past as Caltech is the reigning and two-time SCIAC Champs in this worthwhile cause.
