PASADENA, Calif. -- In an effort to enhance the online spectator experience for supporters of Caltech athletics, the Beavers have signed on with First Team Broadcasting, a company that specializes in internet streaming of live events. The First Team platform allows anyone with internet access to easily watch a particular Caltech athletics contest.
In addition to the web streaming software via First Team, the athletics department plans to present its broadcasts in high definition with its new HD video camera.
"We are thrilled to expand the Beaver Bandwagon to our parents, alumni and fans across the globe," said director of athletics Betsy Mitchell. "We are proud of the amazing efforts of our student athletes and are glad to be able to be responsive to the demand and desire to support them. Go Beavers!"
Beginning this fall, all home soccer, water polo, and volleyball matches will be available via the video stream link (the video camera icon) on gocaltech.com.
The first event of the 2014-15 campaign kicks off this Saturday as Caltech soccer hosts Hope International at 3 pm. The link to that event is here.
The full broadcast schedule can be viewed here. Winter and spring sports schedules will be added in the near future.
