THOUSAND OAKS, CA – Caltech finished off the road portion of their schedule against the SCIAC first-place team on Sunday afternoon.
Cal Lutheran, who came into the weekend ranked 17th in the current NCBWA poll, recorded 12 hits as they claimed a 16-0 victory.
Daniel Chou had a game high in hits as he went a perfect 3-for-3 at the dish for the Beavers. It was his eighth multi-hit game of the season. It is the third time in the last six games the sophomore has had at least two hits. Chou also stole his team leading 13th base of the season.
Eight different players recorded at least one hit for the Kingsmen. Chris Whitmer help lead the offensive charge with two hits and five RBI's. Gabe Gunter also had two hits while driving in two and crossing the plate twice.
The Beavers final game of the season is Tuesday afternoon at 3 p.m. when they host La Verne. Prior to the contest Caltech will honor seniors Albie Lavin and Thomas Kwok who are playing in their final game in a Beavers uniform.
