Fencers Complete Schedule at IFCSC Championships

IRVINE, CA - The Caltech fencing team concluded their season at the IFCSC Championships on Saturday hosted by UC Irvine.

During the men's foil competition Eugene Vinitsky earned a spot on the medal stand with a third place finish. In his first year with the team Anup Kishore was placed second in the novice foil division.

Harrison Miller topped his competitors with a first place finish in the novice saber division.

In the men's saber novice division Chris Couste placed third.

Taylor Strumwasser went undefeated in epee competition while Stan Schor won five of six bouts in helping the men's epee team placed third in the team comptition.

Katie Fisher went 2-for-3 in her epee bouts while Emilia Hernandez, who has competed mostly in saber, won all three of her bouts in foil.
