Beavers Cap Off Two Win Weekend with Victory over IIT

THOUSAND OAKS, CA – A winning weekend for the Caltech men's basketball team concluded with an 82-65 win over Illinois Institute of Technology on Sunday afternoon.

However, the Scarlet Knights made one final scoring push as they scored seven straight points to get within 62-57. However, that five point spread was as close as they would get down the stretch. Caltech pull away with solid shooting from the floor while holding the Scarlet Knights to just two made field goals the rest of the game.

Lawrence Lee and Andrew Hogue both had excellent shooting afternoons as both players went 7-for-9 from the floor. Hogue registered team highs in points (21) and rebounds (12) in tallying his first double-double of the season. Lee recorded a 15-point, seven-rebound performance in 30 minutes of action.

Kc Emezie also had a solid day with an 18-point effort while Bryan Joel rounded out the double figure scorers with a 13-point afternoon. It is the fourth straight game the Beavers placed four players in double figures.
