Andrew Sherman
Title: Volunteer Assistant Coach

Andy Sherman begins his first season with the Caltech men’s basketball program.  He is primarily responsible for assisting in practices and games, video management, statistical analysis, and other operational tasks.

“We’re excited about Coach Sherman being a part of our program,” Head Coach Dr. Oliver Eslinger said.  “Not only will he serve a positive mentor to our players, he loves the game and has experience at the DIII and pro levels.”

Previously, Sherman worked at Salem State College in Massachusetts for Brian Meehan (currently head coach at Brandeis) where he assisted in the recruitment of players and scouting of opponents.  He also was an assistant for the Springfield Spirit, a WNBL women’s semi-professional team that included Swin Cash, Kara Wolters and Cindy Blodgett (current associate head coach at Boston University).  Sherman aided with strategies and maintained in-game statistics.  Born and raised in New England, Sherman is a Syracuse University graduate and an avid Boston sports fan.
