SCIAC Honors Tyler Volkoff as Male Athlete of the Week

SCIAC MALE ATHLETE OF THE WEEK

Tyler, a junior from Kerman, CA (Kerman HS) scored the only goal of a 1-0 victory for Caltech in the final minute of regulation to defeat Cal Lutheran for the first time in school history on Wednesday, October 22nd.  Tyler now holds the Caltech record for goals in a season with now six for 2008-09.  Tyler's has scored 5 goals in SCIAC play this year and also has an assist in conference.   Tyler is biology major and plans to pursue a Ph.D.; his other extracurricular activities include the chemistry club, research and ice skating.  "Tyler is by far the most dangerous forward that I have coached is seven years at Caltech" commented Coach Rolando Uribe.
