On Friday, September 5th, the Caltech men's soccer team opened their 2008 campaign with a 0-3 loss to the host #20 Tigers of Colorado College who were playing their third game of the season. "We played great for the first game of the season, the final goal came with 2 seconds left in the game" commented Coach Uribe. Caltech managed to make the adjustment to artificial turf and the air at ~6000 ft. altitude.
The Beavers had Saturday off and faced off with MIT on Sunday, 9/7 in the final game of the 2008 Bill Boddington Memorial Tournament, MIT prevailed 4-0. "Once again Caltech played well and battled every minute in the game. The game was very competitive and the score at halftime was 0-2. MIT is a very good team" commented Coach Uribe.
Caltech returns home to Pasadena and take on La Sierra University on 9/12 at 4pm on the North Athletic Field.
GO TECH!
