Pasadena, Calif. (Sept. 24, 2016) – Senior J.D. Feist (Richardson, Texas / Jesuit Coll. Prep) stopped 11 shots as the Caltech's men's soccer team dropped a SCIAC match, 5-0, against Chapman University on Saturday morning.
The Caltech defense looked strong early as the Beavers were able to limit the Panthers offense in the first half. Chapman mustered a single goal on 13 shots (five on target) in the first 45 minutes of play. The second half started slow for both teams, but the Panthers got rolling with a goal in the 68th minute and put away three more over the next 20 minutes. Feist faced 11 shots on frame in the second half, saving seven as the Beavers surrendered 31 shots and seven corner kicks over the game. Sophomore Tristan Née (Carrollton, Texas / R.L. Turner) and freshman Sammy Piascik (Madison, Wis. / Homeschooled) registered Caltech's only two shots on goal.
