Swim & Dive Releases 2018-19 Schedule

PASADENA (July 31, 2018) – The Caltech men's and women's swimming & diving teams have unveiled their schedules for the upcoming 2018-19 season.

Men's Schedule

Women's Schedule

This year's schedule lines up similarly to last year's and will provide opportunities for the Beavers to improve their standing against common opponents, starting with California Lutheran University in the home opener on Nov. 10. An improved men's team will then vie for a key win over Occidental College when the Beavers meet the Tigers and Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges in Claremont on Nov. 17. A deeper women's team, meanwhile will look for another win against Mills College after topping the Cyclones last year behind freshman Jessica Sun's (York, Penn. / Red Lion Area Senior) 400 IM record. The Beavers will host the Cyclones, in addition to Whittier College on Jan. 19. The women's team will also look for its first win against the University of La Verne under Head Coach Paul Hughes on Saturday, Feb. 9 in the annual Orange Out meet where the men will also take on the Leopards.

Both teams will use the regular season to build toward the SCIAC Championship meet where the men will look to improve on their sixth-place finish while the women hope to increase their rank from the eighth spot in the conference, all with the hope of continuing to build on last year's combined 26 program records and intention to send multiple swimmers to the NCAA Championship meet. Last season saw sophomore Thomas Gallup (Houston, Texas / Phillips Exeter Academy) make his second meet appearance in as many years and junior Brittany Percin (Lake Tahoe, Calif. / Stanford Online) make her debut in Indianapolis. The SCIAC Championships will take place from Thursday, Feb. 21 through Sunday Feb. 24 and the NCAA Championships are set for Wednesday, Mar. 20 through Saturday, Mar. 23.
