TEMPE, Ariz. (July 21, 2016) – The Caltech men's and women's tennis teams have seen 11 student-athletes recognized as Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic for 2016.
Eight men and three women were recognized individually, in addition to both teams being honored. The ITA recognizes teams with a cumulative GPA of 3.20 or above on a 4.00 scale and individual letter-winners with a GPA of at least 3.50 for the current academic year.
The ITA is the governing body of college tennis, overseeing men's and women's varsity tennis at NCAA Division I, II and III, NAIA and Junior/Community College. The ITA administers a comprehensive awards and rankings program for men's and women's varsity players, coaches and teams in all divisions, providing recognition for their accomplishments on and off the court.
