Caltech Athletics : Beavers Continue SCIAC Play

The Caltech men's water polo team opened 2008 SCIAC play on the road falling by a score of 21-8 at nearby Whittier College today. The host Poets were off to a solid 9-9 start playing some of the top programs in the country. 2008 has a new feel to it as the Beaver Men's Water Polo team are under the watchful eye of of first year head coach, Joshua Moser. Moser is no stranger to the SCIAC as the history major played four years at Occidental College. In addition Josh has served the past few years as a coach to MidValley Water Polo Club in addtion to his coaching and substitute teaching duties at Flintridge Prepatory School. "Josh has been really well received by the team", commented Wendell Jack the Caltech Atheltic Director, "We are very excited about the future of both men's and women's water polo under Josh".

Next up for the Beavers will be a visit from the Claremont-Mudd Stags for 7pm match at Braun Pool on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 then the University of La Verne Leopards on 10/25 at 11am.
