Yesterday, the men's and women's track teams made their way over to Whittier College for the 2009 edition of the SCIAC Multi-Dual Meet. The teams were led by Stephanie Wuerth who had a spectacular day with 2 PR's. First off in the 5K with a time of 19:40.32 moving her to the #4 spot on the All-Time Top Ten List, she also had a PR in the 1500m with a time of 5:15.88, although this is not her fastest time, she remains in the #7 spot for the 1500m on the All-Time Top 10 list.
Also, sophomore Justine Chia moved on to the All-Time top 10 list to the #5 spot in the 800m as she ran a PR of 2:34.22. Following suite, junior Natalya Kostandova had a PR in both the 1500m (5:19.26) and the 5K (19:53.76) which places her in the #9 and #6 spots respectively. Another sophomore Best Chaipornkaew had a PR in the 1500 with a time of 5:33.21, while her teammate Jenny Xiong ran a lifetime PR and moved up to the #6 spot on the All-Time Top 10 list in the 400H with a time of 1:17.00.
Lastly but certainly not least, the women's 4X100m relay team improved yet again with a season best of 53.85 for the team of Bettina Chen, Suzanna Piatt, Deboki Chakravarti and Tencia Lee.
