CLAREMONT, CA – In their second meet of the season a handful of Caltech track and field athletes competed at the Pomona-Pitzer All-Comers meet.
Adithya Bagavathi finished the 3000 meter race with the seventh best time in Caltech history. The first-year's time of 9:07.41 was one of the best time among NCAA Division III athletes in the field.
Eric Martin placed third in the 1000 meter race. His time of 2:30.94 was just over 1.50 seconds away from claiming first place.
During the women's competition, Stephanie Reynolds put together a nice meet during the distance races. The sophomore finished fifth in the 1000 meter run with a time of 3:10.15. She also competed in the one-mile run where she crossed the finish line in seventh place (out of 32) in 5:35.32.
No team scores were kept for the meet.
Members of the squad will compete at the Rossi Relays next weekend which is hosted by ClaremontMuddScripps. The meet begins at 10 a.m.
