Beavers Start Back-to-Back Weekend at Pasadena City Games

PASADENA, CA - In an effort to prepare for the season ending SCIAC Championships the Beavers competed on back-to-back days this weekend beginning with the Pasadena City Games hosted by Pasadena City College.

The distance runners competed in the 1500 meter race. Stephanie Reynolds posted a solid seventh place finish in the 24-person field with a time of 5:09.13. The top men's time for the Beavers was Michael Ignatowich's finish in 4:14.88. Also of note for Caltech was Juan Adame's 11-second personal best time of 4:20.64.

Eric Martin placed fifth against 49 competitors in the 800 meter race. The junior ran the two lap race in 1:57.16.

Connor won the javelin competition with a top mark of 110' 6". Paige Logan won the shot put competition with a top throw of 37' 2" then posted the top hammer throw with a distance of 133'2". 

Ben Grabowski placed second in the javelin throw with a top distance of 150' 7".

Caltech will compete in the SCIAC second meet of the season on Saturday when they travel to Occidental.
