Lindsay King Earns SCIAC Baldwin Award

Mar 4, 2008

March 4th -  Today, Caltech senior Lindsay King was named the SCIAC's Baldwin Award winner for the 2007-08 women's basketball season.  The Baldwin Award is voted upon by the members of the SCIAC Women's Basketball Committee and awarded to the senior player who exhibits the bst sportsmanship throughout the conference season.

2007-08 has certainly been a year for "firsts" for the women's team.  King scored her 1000th career point on December 27th vs. Fontbonne Univesity (MO) making her the first Caltech woman to do so in a career; then team enjoyed back-to-back SCIAC victories over Claremont-Mudd-Scripps  and Pomona-Pitzer Colleges and the season culminates with the honor of the Baldwin Award which is the first in the school's history.
