PARKLAND, Wash. (Dec. 15, 2018) – Junior guard Grace Peng (San Ramon, Calif. / California) returned to the Caltech women's basketball lineup Saturday at Pacific Lutheran University.
Making her 2018-19 debut, Peng played for 29 minutes and scored 11 points, while also leading the Beavers with four steals. The junior was one of three Beavers to hit double-figures, with classmate Samantha D'Costa (San Jose, Calif. / St. Francis) leading the way off the bench with 15 points on 7-of-12 shooting. D'Costa also got her teammates involved with five assists, while senior guard Nika Haleftiras (San Diego, Calif. / Our Lady of Peace) posted a similar line with 10 points and four assists. The Caltech backcourt accounted for 36 of the visitors' 56 points while also combining to go 5-for-6 from the free throw line.
Head Coach Bridgette Reyes and the Beavers will turn their attention to the University of Puget Sound for tomorrow's 2 p.m. game.
