Freshman Jessica Sun of the Caltech women's swimming & diving team broke the record for the women's 400-yard individual medley and lifted her team to a 125-100 victory over Mills College on Sunday afternoon.
The Caltech men’s and women’s swim & dive teams have been recognized as College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America Scholar All-America Teams. Freshman Tom Gallup also was named an individual Scholar All-American.
Sophomore Brittany Percin earned her third trip to the SCIAC Championships podium with a third-place finish in the 200 Fly on the final day of the 2016-17 season for the Caltech women’s swim & dive team.
Sophomore Gemma Takahashi became the second active member of the Caltech women’s swim & dive team to earn All-SCIAC honors with a third-place finish in the 100 Fly on Day Three of the SCIAC Championships.

They are poised to continue their climb up the SCIAC standings thanks to returning 100 percent of their individual points at the conference Championships along with the addition of several impact newcomers.
