Beavers Cruise by Panthers

PASADENA, CA - Strong play at the top of the line-up helped lift the Beavers to a 7-2 win over Principia on Saturday afternoon. The Beavers dropped just two sets during the top five singles matches en route to the win.

Monica Li won her second straight match at the top singles spot. The sophomore dropped a tight first set but rebounded to take the final two set. Jenny Sheng's steady play lifted her to a straight sets win at the No. 2 spot. Michelle Lee cameback to post a 2-6, 6-0, 10-3 win at the third singles position.

Michelle Tang and Sophia Chen dominated their opponents at the No. 5 and No. 6 spot. Both players didn't drop a game.

Caltech's final two team points came from Li and Chen's effort at the No. 2 double match (8-1) while Valerie Pietrasz teamed up with Tang to win 8-2 at the third spot.
