PASADENA (Apr. 8, 2017) – Freshman Alexandra Bodrova (Russia / Kurchatovskaya School) and the Caltech women's tennis team had their hands full on Saturday against nationally ranked No. 5 Pomona-Pitzer Colleges on Saturday.
Bodrova came the closest to earning a point for the Beavers. The freshman tested Mae Coyiuto at fourth singles, coming up short in a closely contested 6-4 first set. Bodrova's match was the longest match of the day. Now 7-6 overall (2-2 SCIAC), The Beavers should remain in good standing in the upcoming ITA Regional Rankings.
Head Coach Mandy Gamble and the Beavers hope to take another step forward in SCIAC play when Chapman University visits on Friday, Apr. 14 for Caltech's Senior Day.
