Menezes Finishes 17th at 2009 SCIAC XC Championships
The Caltech Cross Country Teams ran in their final SCIAC event of the 2009 season at the SCIAC Cross Country Championships today held at Prado Regional Park in Chino. The women started the day 9am with the men going at 9:45am. Caltech ran strong races and enjoyed the treat of a 17th place finish on the men's side by freshman Alan Menezes followed by at 24th place finish by teammate frosh, Cameron Fen. The top finishers for the Caltech women were a pair of juniors, Justine Chia and Best Chaipornkaew. "This year's teams have been working hard all season and it is very rewarding to see Alan and Cameron have such a great race" commented head coach Scott Jung. Menezes' 17th place finish places him on the 2nd team All-SCIAC as the top 10 finishers make 1st team and 11-20 are 2nd team.
