Andres Alamillo enters his ninth year as Head Athletic Trainer at Caltech. In this role, he is responsible for all coverage and care for Caltech's 17 intercollegiate sports.
As an undergraduate at Mount San Antonio College (Walnut, Calif.), Alamillo served as an athletic trainer intern until 1997 when he moved on to Claremont McKenna College and maintained a similar role. During his span in Claremont, Andres worked towards a bachelor of science in kinesiology at Cal State Fullerton, which he achieved in spring 2000.
As an aid for Premier Physical he worked with high school and college athletes with pre- and post-surgical rehab from 1999-2001. Alamillo completed his master of arts in kinesiology at Cal State Long Beach in spring 2005.
Prior to his appointment as the Beavers' head trainer, Alamillo worked as Head Athletic Trainer at Pomona High School (2000-01) and as Assistant Athletic Trainer at Caltech (2001-03).
Andres has extensive experience as a summer camp trainer, having represented the No. 1 Soccer Camp in Claremont and The Center of Excellence Soccer Camp in Santa Barbara.
Alamillo is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, the Far West Athletic Trainers' Association, and the California Trainers' Association. He is certified by the American Red Cross in first aid and CPR/AED professional rescuse and a certified athletic trainer (NATABOC).
He resides in Claremont with his two beautiful dogs and a plethora of televisions.
