The Caltech baseball team squared off against Cal Lutheran during the final weekend of three-game SCIAC sets.
Next weekend begins single game weekends with one conference game per day during the weekend contests.

After scoring three runs in the first inning the Kingsmen opened the game by scoring at least three runs in the next three innings en route to the victory.
The home team banged out 20 hits led by Kevin Leonards 3-for-3, four RBI, two run performance.
Caltech's Eric Schropp went 1-for-3 with a stolen base while Blaine Matulevich and Brendan Sheehan also tallied a base knock. Rob Rosenberg recorded his first of the season as pitch hitter in the seventh inning.
April 9, 2011 -Cal Lutheran 16, Caltech 3 (Box Score)
The Kingsmen opened up a tightly contested game by combining to score 12 total runs in the seventh and eighth innings in posting the win.
Cal Lutheran jumped out to a 3-0 lead after three innings. Caltech put a run on the board in the fourth but the visitors responded with another run in the fifth. The Beavers made the score 4-2 when Daniel Sexton drove in Eric Schropp to open the bottom of the sixth. However, the home squad couldn't push across another run.
Schropp had a solid day at the plate with a 3-for-4 effort. The junior scored both of the Beaver runs while driving in another. He also banged out his first triple of the year.
Thomas Heavey and Sexton each had two-hit games to aid in the Beaver offense. The Beavers had 10 total hits were the most they had in a SCIAC game this season.
April 9, 2011 - Cal Lutheran 12, Caltech 0 (Box Score)
Cal Lutheran busted open a 2-0 game with a seven-run fourth inning as they swept the three-game series from Caltech. The Kingsmen plated a run in the first and second innnings before exploding with their multi-run innning.
The Kingsmen pitching tandem of Spencer Trygg and Byron Minnich held the Beaver bats to five hits while combining to strikeout 12.
Nick Boggan, the Kingsmen leading hitter coming into the day, went 4-for-5 with three runs score and an RBI to aid in the visitors win.
Nick Robertson put together a multi-hit day with a pair of singles during his 2-for-3 afternoon.
