"We were mentally focused before this game. Even with finals and everything the players remained focused on the season. We executed for 40 minutes tonight," said third-year head coach Oliver Eslinger. "This evening we got contributions from everyone."

Elmquist scored a team high 28 points. The senior went 10-for-17 from the field while knocking down all but one of his five shots from behind the arc. Elmquist needs two more points to reach the 1,000 career point barrier. He would become the 11th men's player at Caltech to accomplish the feat.

Mike Edwards posted a 26-point effort on the strength of a 10-for-18 shooting night. Edwards knocked down all but two of his six attempts from behind the arc. The sophomore also grabbed nine rebounds.

Todd Cramer posted his third straight double-double as the freshman tallied 16 points and 13 rebounds in 30 minutes of action. He also dished out a team high eight assists.

Caltech came close to setting several school records in the win. The Beavers knocked down 34 field goals which was one field goal away from tying the school record set six seasons ago. They came within one made three-pointer from tying the school mark of 11 set in 1999. Caltech dished out 21 team assists which was two assists away from breaking an eight year old school mark.

Each of those marks represents a season high in those respective categories. Caltech also set a season high with 47 rebounds.
