KANSAS CITY (July 16, 2019) – All three eligible members of the Caltech men's basketball team have been named to the 2018-19 National Association of Basketball Coaches Honors Court.
Juniors Aaron Ayres (Tucson, Ariz. / Catalina Foothills), Alec Andrews (Folsom, Calif. / Folsom) and Ross Carter (Sudbury, Mass. / The Rivers School) met all the criteria for the honor, scholar-athletes in their junior or senior year who have compiled a grade point average of at least 3.2. Next year, the trio will have the opportunity to join former teammates David Kawashima '19, Nasser Al-Rayes '17 and Ricky Galliani '17 as players to make multiple appearances on the list.
Andrews is coming off arguably the most significant season of his career, and is now responsible for the trifecta of program assist records (game, season, career). The same can be said for Carter, who made 25 starts and averaged more than 20 minutes for the first time of his career. Ayres, meanwhile rebounded from a lost sophomore season due to injury and shot 56-percent from the field.
