ORANGE, CA – In their first road game of the season, the Caltech men's soccer team faltered 5-1 at Chapman on Monday evening.
The host Panthers scored two goals in the game's first six minutes as the duo of Boston Kimmel and Karam Gill each tallied a goal and an assist. Chapman added to their lead in the 29th minute when Cameron Waymire found the back of the cage.
Caltech got on the board in the 63rd minute when Alec Sands scored his second career goal off a feed from Marec Serlin. Unfortunately for the Beavers, the home squad quickly responded by scoring less than three minutes later. The Panthers rounded out the scoring on a Gill goal in the 83rd minute.
The Beavers return to the pitch on Wednesday afternoon when they host Whittier at 4 p.m.
