Awarded a Certificate of Excellence from Sonoma County Board of Education for refining the system which eliminates atemospheric distortion from images of stars significantly dimmer than previously possible, improving the quality of the image to a point greater than the resolution of the Hubble space telescope at a fraction of the cost during an internship running the KAPAO telescope system in the Optics lab of the Physics and Astronomy Department at Sonoma State University the summer before his senior year in high school...Supported in flight calibration of NASA's Orbiting Carbon Observatory-2 Satellite and JAXA's Greenhouse Gases observing Satellite...Researched and developed an uncertainty estimation procedure for MODIS reflectance product selection for satellite calibration.
