Introducing... Men's Water Polo Class of 2022

PASADENA (July 6, 2018) – Head Coach Jon Bonafede has revealed the Caltech men's water polo class of 2022, consisting of incoming freshman Alexander Wang out of The Harker School in San Jose, Calif.

Alexander Wang
San Jose, Calif.

Wang is a two-way, responsible and experienced player in the pool and will be expected to get immediate reps, integrating with a freshman class that helped bring the Beavers their first SCIAC victory since 2001. Wang was also the sports and opinion editor at the Aquila, the student news site of Harker Upper School where he reported on the boys' water polo team throughout his junior year.

"Alex will be a great addition to the size, skill and experience I have been cultivating over the last three seasons," Bonafede said. "He brings speed, especially in terms of swimming onto advantages on the counter attack, as well as quickness for smart drives that generate offensive opportunities."
