Research and STEM Activities

Interned at the Chabot Space & Science Center, a nonprofit museum and learning center in Oakland, where he initially served as a volunteer for three years explaining science demonstrations to the public; now an intern, he manages volunteers and helps with various activities, such as soldering, fixing rovers and running planetarium shows; as part of the Astronomy Team, did computational work with meteorite datasets... Completed the Aspiring Scholars Direct Research Program, where he used CERN particle collision data and machine learning techniques to identify and classify particle jets... Was Physics lead at his school's Tech Club.

Prior to Caltech

Academic Honors: National Merit Finalist... American Legion California Boys State Delegate... Won the Mathematics Engineering Science Achievement for building a functional balsa wood glider, an Arduino-based heartbeat monitor and a plant watering system, while serving as co-president of his school's branch.

Athletic Honors: 2022 MVAL 1st Team All-League Cross Country... 4th place in 2023 MVAL 1600m finals.
