"This program will continue to work hard in the classroom and on the track." said head coach Michael Stevenson. "To have the highest GPA in the country at the toughest school academically in the nation is truly a testament to the work that these kids put in all year. Caltech has a strong tradition of hard-working student-athletes, and it is special to see them recognized nationally once again. They should take pride in this accomplishment."
The men's team has 26 student-athletes while the women's team has 11 members.
The USTFCCCA also bestowed honors upon Caltech's cross country teams in the fall when both the men's and women's teams meet the same criteria.
