Krasnoperov Second Among SCIAC at Elite Meet

EAGLE ROCK, Calif. (May 6, 2017) - Freshman Tim Krasnoperov (Pasadena, Calif. / Polytechnic) placed second among SCIAC competitors in an elite field that included Division I and II as well as professional athletes at the Oxy Invite.

The rookie came just shy of his PR in the discus throw, but still managed one of the better attempts in his career to edge out Claremont-Mudd-Scripps Colleges freshman Reese Patterson, who beat Krasnoperov for second place in the last round of the SCIAC Championships.

Classmate Jesse Cai (McLean, Va. / Thomas Jefferson Math & Science) also competed in the 200-meter dash and ran one of his top-five times in the event this season just a week after the championship meet.

Head Coach Ben Raphelson and the handful of Beavers continuing their training this spring will head to the Westmont All-on-the-Line Open in Santa Barbara, Calif. next Saturday, May 13.
