IMMACULATA, Penn. – In their final game before the holiday break, Caltech couldn't bounce back from sluggish start as Immaculata posted a 77-49 win Sunday afternoon in a non-conference women's basketball match-up.
Caltech (0-9) scored the opening basket 29 seconds in, and would be held scoreless for a six-minute span as Immaculata opened up a 12-2 lead. The Mighty Macs controlled the game the rest of the way, leading at halftime, 37-16.
The Mighty Macs (6-3) forced 40 turnovers – 25 in the first half – from the Beavers and scored 38 points off those miscues.
Paige Logan posted the first double-double of the season for Caltech as she recorded a 13-point, 14-rebound effort. Krissy Dahl had a team high 16 points as the Philadelphia area native returned to the east coast. The junior has contributed three blocks.
The Beavers outrebounded Immaculata 43-36.
