INDIANAPOLIS (Nov. 30, 2015) – Caltech women's basketball senior Stephanie Wong (Palos Verdes Estates, Calif. / Palos Verdes Peninsula) leads the nation in three-pointers made per game in the latest NCAA statistics release.
The wing opened the season with an astounding 16 three-pointers over three games (5.3 average) on 59 percent shooting from beyond the arc. Wong also ranks 21st in the nation and tops the SCIAC with 21.7 points per game after back-to-back 24-point outbursts while rounding out an impressive line with 6.3 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 3.0 steals. She earned All-Tournament honors in the Caltech-Occidental Fall Classic, leading the Beavers to a dominant 79-38 victory over Illinois Tech on Friday.
The Beavers enjoy a two-week break from competition before hosting UC Santa Cruz on Tuesday, Dec. 15 at 5 p.m.
