COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Jan. 22, 2018) – The Caltech women's swimming & diving team has been recognized for Scholar All-America by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America for the third consecutive year and first under Head Coach Andy Brabson.
The CSCAA Scholar All-America program recognizes teams across all three NCAA division and the NAIA which have compiled a minimum 3.0 grade-point average over each semester of the academic calendar. The women's team pulled together an outstanding 3.44 cumulative GPA to earn its spot on the list. This year's women's team has been just as strong inside the pool as outside of it and are coming off two team victories in the same day over Whittier College and Mills College. Brabson and the Beavers will have the week off from SCIAC competition before returning on Saturday, Feb. 2 to face off with Pomona-Pitzer Colleges.
Founded in 1922, the College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) – the oldest organization of college coaches in America – is a professional organization of college swimming and diving coaches dedicated to serving and providing leadership for the advancement of the sport of swimming & diving at the collegiate level.
