#8 Cal Lutheran Spreads Offense Around in Victory

PASADENA, CA – The eighth ranked Cal Lutheran women's volleyball posted a 3-0 (25-12, 25-12, 25-13) over Caltech on Tuesday evening in a SCIAC match-up.

The visitors spread the offense around as 11 different players had at least one kill. Pua Mo'Oini Oliveira and Allie Eason each had a team high five kills.

Already leading 14-9 in the first set, the Regals went on a 9-1 scoring spurt to take control of the stanza in grabbing a 1-0 edge in the match.

After Caltech scored four straight points to make the score 8-7 Cal Lutheran early in the second set, Cal Lutheran grabbed the frame's momentum by scoring 10 of the next 11 points en route to taking a 2-0 advantage in the contest. The visitors were able to close out the match in three straights by scoring seven of the first eight points of the final set. The Regals never looked back in sweeping the match.

Caltech's duo of Catherine Jamshidi and Rachel Hess each produced four kills to pace the Beavers.

The Beavers continue their schedule on Friday evening with a trip to Occidental for a 7:30 p.m. match.
