ORANGE, CA – The 25th ranked Chapman's women's volleyball team posted a 3-0 (25-9, 25-10, 25-11) win over Caltech on Friday evening.
The Beavers, coming off an afternoon win over Mills College, had a tough time staying with one of the nation's best squads.
Chapman had seven different players posts three or more kills in the win. As a team they posted a .345 hitting percentage with 42 kills. Their service games was on point as well as they tallied 10 on the evening.
Jenny Gibson led all Panthers with 12 kills and a .476 hitting percentage. Val Geiger, a former AVCA Division III National player of the week, pitched in an eight-kill effort while hitting .615.
Paige Logan had the best offensive night for Caltech as she notched seven kills and a .208 hitting mark.
Caltech completes their three-match in two-day stretch on Saturday afternoon when they host Mills one more time at 3 p.m.
