PASADENA, Calif. (Apr. 18, 2015) – Senior Shalini Majumdar (Orinda, Calif. / Miramonte) scored her 20th goal of the season with another two-goal effort as the Caltech women's water polo team took on Chapman University on Saturday morning.
The Panthers distanced themselves in the second quarter to win, 17-3, and improve to 12-14 overall and 4-4 in the SCIAC, while the Beavers are now 0-18 (0-8).
Chapman scored the first five goals of the game before Caltech got on the board thanks to junior Soumya Kannan (Palo Alto, Calif. / Henry M Gunn) Majumdar struck for her first coming out of a timeout after another Chapman goal and added to her tally less than a minute later.
