PASADENA (Mar. 19, 2018) – Sophomore Samantha D'Costa (San Jose, Calif. / St. Francis) scored a brilliant goal for Caltech women's water polo against California Lutheran University on Wednesday evening.

D'Costa, lining up on the left hand side took a pass from junior Hana Keller (Sammamish, Wash. / Tesla STEM) and fired it on a rope into the back of the net. The goal came within the first minute of the second period and the Beavers finished the game without having taken an exclusion. The Beavers also had an active day on the defensive end. Junior Gemma Takahashi (San Jose, Calif. / Leland) added four more steals to her team-leading total and senior Devi Ganapathi (La Crescenta, Calif. / Crescenta Valley), in addition to sophomore Sarah Kreider (River Forest, Ill. / Oak Park and River Forest) came away with three steals each.
