Ellie Yamada Named to Second Team All-SCIAC

PASADENA, Calif. – Caltech Women's Soccer senior midfielder Ellie Yamada (South Pasadena, Calif. / South Pasadena) has been selected to the Second Team All-SCIAC, earning all-conference recognition for the second consecutive season.

"I'm so happy for Ellie to finish her soccer career at Caltech with her 2nd All Conference vote," Head Coach Scott Wilson said. "She's been a joy to coach, and it's been so pleasing seeing her development through the seasons."

One of the program's most consistent and respected players, Yamada has served as a steady presence in the Caltech midfield throughout her career. Her ability to dictate possession, connect the field from end to end, and compete tirelessly on both sides of the ball made her a key figure for the Beavers and one of the conference's top midfielders.

"Her quality on the ball has continued to improve season after season along with her durability," Wilson said. "This allows her to be a constant presence in the midfield for us and help drive her team mates through 90 minutes."

A four-year contributor, Yamada's impact on the Caltech program extended far beyond individual recognition. She developed into a leader in the midfield and a player teammates could rely on in every situation, whether helping break up opposing attacks, maintaining possession under pressure, or driving the Beavers forward in key moments.

A South Pasadena High School graduate and Bioengineering major, Yamada leaves the program as one of its most accomplished midfielders, adding another conference honor to a career defined by leadership, consistency and a commitment to helping elevate Caltech Women's Soccer.

Her latest All-SCIAC selection serves as fitting recognition for a player whose influence has been felt in every phase of the game and throughout every season of her Beaver career.

"Ellie is the perfect example of what a Caltech Women's Soccer player should aspire to be," Wilson said.
