Research and STEM Activities
Wrote and published a research paper on mice locomotion behavior after conducting research, developing, and building four instrumented activity wheels for automatic mouse running behavior data acquisition using MATLAB at NIH Lab of Critical Dynamics; discovered behavioral differences in group vs single-housed mice and sex differences in running activity that may benefit future lab mice enrichment and exercise prospects... Built self-regulating and pumping pet water dispensers for rescue animals using a raspberry pi and a simple pump... Published scientific diagrams in Science Magazine, JARO and ENeuro.
Prior to Caltech
Academic Honors: Pre-published co-written paper in Biorxiv after Interning at NIH Neuroscience Lab- section of Critical Brain Dynamics... Member of Engineering Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, Science National Honor Society and English National Honor Society.
Athletic Honors: Finished sixth in age group (women under 18) in Philadelphia Marathon 2021... Finished Top-30 in MOCO County Championship (2022)... Finished Top-50 in Maryland States (2022, 2023) 4A Region... Helped HS team to Girls Team Regional winners, 2020-2022... Won Coaches Most Improved Award in 2021... Holds personal records of 20:55 in the 5K, 12:26 in the 2-mile and 3:42:44 in the marathon.

Chose Caltech because of the close-knit culture, house system and research opportunities, as well as the unparalleled academic level and resources... Also appreciates the friendly, talented and helpful people at the university... Plays the double bass in orchestra... Loves drawing and painting... Enjoys poetry and creative writing... Pitched in softball... Is a hunter-jumper horseback rider.
