Software Engineering Intern @ Ramp... Interned at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory as a SDE intern under the Software Engineering and Data Transformation Group in the Force Projection Sector... Worked on the project, "Developing Open-Source Circuit Design and Flow Management Software" where he improved and extended software tools to manage circuit design flows...Worked on the project, "Improving the Factual Accuracy of Summaries Generated by Abstractive Models" where he researched the effect of incorporating relation extraction in training text summarization models.
Prior to Caltech
Academics:Â 2x MIT Battlecode High School Winner... USACO Gold... ACSL Senior Division Bronze Medal... AIME Qualifier.
Athletics: PVS Scholar Athlete... PHS SD Sportsmanship Award.
Personal
Son of Mingshu and Yimang... Likes imitating other swimmers' strokes... Chose Caltech because of the quality of resources and opportunities, size of student body, location, and being able to swim on the team... Favorite part of Caltech is the house system and tight-knit bonds that are formed between classmates... Enjoys being a Caltech athlete because he is able to swim in a competitive environment while still being able to pursue academics at a very high level.
