Completed a summer undergraduate research fellowship (SURF) with Ryan Hadt, studying the effects of geometric distortions on various quantum chemical parameters in metalloporphyrin complexes... Completed a SURF in Physical Inorganic Chemistry research with Ryan Hadt and Theodor Agapie in 2021, contributing characterization of novel metal complexes that may have significant and efficient singlet fission rates... Completed a SURF in 2020 in Computational Chemistry research with Dinakar Ramakrishnan and Robert Tanner on modeling enzyme kinetics... Current research involves the synthesis and analysis of spin-phonon coupling in distorted porphyrins.

Son of Joe and Michelle... Has one older brother and two younger brothers... Grew up in Riverside, Calif.... Member of Blacker and Dabney House... Enjoys playing chess and running at local venues... Favorite part about Caltech is performing chemistry research during the summer and academic year, as well as expanding my academic horizons... Likes Caltech Athletics because of the open and accepting environment both for newcomers and returning athletes.
