Research and STEM Activities 
Worked as a biomaterials intern at Tidal vision over the summer where he developed fully biodegradable chitosan-based films to be used in food packaging applications... Part of the Kornfield lab during the school year where he works to isolate valuable Argentatins from Guyule resin... Worked in the Rossman Lab Group as a Summer Undergraduate Research Fellow (SURF) to analyze an array of rare mineral specimens using X-Ray fluorescence, infrared, Raman, and visible spectroscopy. Cataloged results in RRUFF database to study rare earth signatures in visible/infrared spectrums.

Academic Honors: National Honor Society Member... National Merit Commended Scholar... AP Scholar with Distinction.
Athletic Honors: 3 Season High School Varsity Captain in Cross Country... Nordic Skiing... and Outdoor Track... Boston Globe All Scholastic in Cross Country finishing 12th in the Division 1 MA state meet.

Chose Caltech because of its student community and the invaluable resources and opportunities provided through the school...  You might run into him trail running in the nearby mountains... favorite part of being a Caltech student-athlete is running.
