Research and STEM Activities
Conducted research over the summer applying neural networks to control theory... Was a member of high-school club building a Farnsworth-Hirsch nuclear fusion reactor in the school basement (2017-2021)... Was the student lead on a related computational-modeling research project about the use of paraffin wax for neutron shielding... Worked as a software intern for Joon Care, a Seattle-based teletherapy startup making mental healthcare more accessible for youth (summer 2021).
Prior to Caltech
Academic Honors: 2021 National Merit Scholarship Finalist.
Athletic Honors: Member of All-American 4x800m relay team (2019).
Personal
Daughter of Erin and Keith... Older sister to Sophie... Favorite part about Caltech is the supportive community, both on the team and in the Houses... Favorite part of Caltech Athletics is her teammates.
