Beavers Attack Well; Fall to CMS

CLAREMONT, Calif. – On a night when Caltech posted their best hitting percentage against a SCIAC opponent, CMS still prevailed 3-0 (25-15, 25-12, 25-7) on Tuesday evening at Ted Ducey Gymnasium.

The Beavers recorded 15 kills and a .185 hitting percentage as team. Both represent season highs for Caltech.

Paige Logan put together another nice performance with team highs in kills (7) and hitting percentage (.286) while posting a five dig effort. It is the fourth time this season the sophomore has tallied at least seven kills in match. Teri Juarez was second on the team with four kills.

Libero Ashley Lo led the back row defense for the visitors with a six dig performance.  

CMS spread their offense around to a trio of players as Courtney Searls (7), Annie Fleming (6) and Regina Mullen (6) posted team highs in kills.

The Athenas used 13 service aces to aid in their efforts.
