Beaver Rewrite School Record Books

WHITTIER, Calif. -- The Caltech women's volleyball squad dropped a tight four-set contest to Mills 3-1 (23-25, 25-23, 25-16, 27-25) on Saturday afternoon at Whittier College.

The Beavers defense was on full display once again. A night after posting a 55-dig team effort, Caltech recorded 78 digs in the four-set match. Ashley Lo put herself in the Caltech record book with a 30-dig effort which is tied for the second most in school history.

Katie Ching pitched in a 21-dig performance while Teri Juarez added 16 digs to round out the double figure dig producers. The 78 digs are the most Caltech has ever recorded under second year head coach Jodi Lindsay.

Caltech's offense had a solid afternoon by posting a .186 team hitting percentage. Paige Logan led the way with 14 kills while tallying a .429 hitting mark. The sophomore also tallied two block solos and two block assists.

Erin Hoops dished out a career best 23 assists.
