Beavers End Season with 3-0 Loss to CLU

THOUSAND OAKS, CA -- The Caltech women's volleyball team closed out the 2012 season with a 3-0 loss to Cal Lutheran on Saturday evening.

The Regals, who came into the match ranked eighth in the nation, had seven different players post at least three kils en route to the sweep. The set scores for the match were 25-12, 25-10, 25-15.

Caltech's Paige Logan and Catherine Jamshidi each had a match high six kills in their final match of the season.

Jamshidi and Kaite Ching tied for team high honors with seven digs.

It was the last collegiate match for the Beavers Joy Lu (one kill), Megan Jackson (seven digs) and Karen Dowling (one dig).

Cal Lutheran clinched the SCIAC regular season title on Friday evening as well as the No.1 seed for next week's conference championships.
