Bulldogs Top Caltech; Logan Inching Towards Record

PASADENA, CA - Playing each other for the second straight evening, the University of Redlands and Caltech squared off in a women's volleyball match-up.

For the second time in 24 hours the University of Redlands came away with a win. The visitors posted a 3-0 (25-8, 25-16, 25-12) on Friday evening.

The Bulldogs spread their offense around for the second consecutive night as seven different players had at least two kills. As a team Redlands had 37 kills while producing a .515 hitting mark. Cassy Lematta and Haili Hannah shared team high honors with seven each.

Caltech's Paige Logan had a match high 12 kills, marking the 10th time in her career she has posted double figures in that catagory. The senior also went over the 400 career kill mark during the match as well. Her 403 career kills leaves her just 26 behind Colleen Moody's school record mark.

Fellow outside hittier Catherine Jamshidi, tallied a six-kill performance while tallying a match high 10 digs.

The Beavers return to action on Wednesday when they step out of conference to face Santa Ana at 6 p.m.
