PASADENA, Calif. — Caltech Athletics officially released the 2023 men's and women's swim & dive schedules on Thursday.

The two squads will look to top their sensational 2022-23 seasons, which saw a plethora of strong finishes in addition to a number of new school records. For four swimmers, the season culminated in a trip to the NCAA Championships, where first-year Simon Hu along with juniors Leo Yang, Christopher Pukszta and Naci Keskin earned All-American Honorable Mention in the 800-yard freestyle relay.

This year, the two teams will compete in eight regular season meets from late October through early February before the two groups take on postseason action in late February.

The Beavers will kick off 2023-24 at home, as they host Oberlin College for a non-conference dual meet on Saturday, Oct. 21 at 10:30 a.m. Head coach Andy Brabson's teams will stay in Pasadena as they host another home meet on Saturday, Oct. 28, as they welcome Biola University and Occidental College for a 5:30 p.m. tri-meet. Last year, the men bested the rival Tigers en route to winning the Occidental Invite.

Later in the month, the Beavers will host the Nov. 18-19 Caltech Invite after taking one year off from hosting in 2022-23. The men won the most recent event by 256 points, beating out in-conference rivals Cal Lutheran and Occidental, while the women notched a strong second place over Cal Lutheran.

The Beavers will honor their seniors on Saturday, Jan. 13 before the teams take on Whittier at 10 a.m. in Caltech's final home meet of the season. Last year, both the men and women topped the Poets in a head-to-head matchup on the road.

The team will participate in its final regular season meet on Saturday, Feb. 3 as the Institute takes on the University of La Verne. Both squads earned dominant victories over the Leopards last February.

The programs will then focus on postseason action as they compete at the SCIAC Championships Feb. 15 through Feb. 18. Both squads performed strongly at last year's championships, with the men nabbing a third-place finish and the women finishing sixth.

This season will see a number of swimmers and divers striving to qualify for the NCAA Championships, held Mar. 15 through 18 in Greensboro, N.C. The Beavers will return all four members of their national-qualifying 800 freestyle relay team from last season.
